Following the success of our February half-term family trips, our family trips made a comeback over the Spring holidays.

This time we arranged day trips to The Alnwick Garden, Gibside Park, Beamish Museum and St Mary’s Lighthouse.

For many of our families, day trips are rare opportunities. Barriers like the cost of travel, entry tickets & food prevent many from enjoying trips out.

One young person who visited Beamish Museum with his family told us, “It’s good that we go on these types of trips because sometimes my mum can’t afford it, so it’s great to have a place that takes us.”

With travel, entry tickets and food covered by Success4All, our family day trips allowed families the opportunity to create new memories and build a sense of community whilst discovering a new place.

Over the four days, we supported 37 families, offering space to over 140 children, young people & adults.

We received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from our families, with many praising how enjoyable the trips were, the variety of food choices available and how friendly the staff were.

One family of 5 who visited Beamish Museum told us, “This was just perfect! Thank you for this opportunity to make great memories with the children.”

While for another family who visited St Mary’s Lighthouse, they said, “We really like how this whole trip was managed. The timing, good quality food, transportation, everything deserves appreciation but above all we loved how kind and accommodating the team was. This was equally fun for kids and parents alike.”

Families have expressed that they would like Success4All to provide more family trips during the holidays.”Our kids clearly can’t get enough of it,” expressed one parent.
