VOLUNTEERING WITH SUCCESS4ALL
Whether you’re looking for something online or in-person, we’ve got volunteering opportunities that will allow you to make a real difference and develop your own skills in the process.
Success4All’s mission has always been to prepare children and young people for a brighter future. Our volunteers are the pillar of our success. Without their generous support and commitment, we could not run any of our services. Success4All is unique in that most of our volunteers are fellow young people, typically 16-19, thus our volunteering experience has developed to support the ethos of ‘young people learning from each other’ and support you with your future progression also.
From our founding we have put a strong backing into providing skill building volunteering opportunities for young people, everyone is capable of contributing what they can. Together we can achieve something greater than the sum of individuals. We welcome volunteers from of all ages, backgrounds and interest (subject to DBS vetting for volunteers aged 16 and above.)

WHY VOLUNTEER WITH SUCCESS4ALL?
Volunteering with Success4All provides you with the opportunity to:
- Discover, learn and develop new skills
- Make a lasting positive impact on the lives of young people.
- Provide evidence of your impact, skills and achievements to use for your own progression.
All of our volunteers transform the lives of our young people by being positive role models, making an effort to understand them and provide a growth mindset.
Mireille was one of our inspiring online volunteer tutor-befrienders. She first volunteered with us when she was doing her A Levels before returning when she was enrolled at McGIll University in Montreal, Canada, navigating the time zone difference in her commitment to continue supporting our young learners.
Watch her volunteering story from her first time with us and hear her speak about her experience volunteering with Success4All and the lasting impact volunteering has had on her.
HOW DOES SUCCESS4ALL SUPPORT VOLUNTEERS?
When we say Success4All, that extends to our volunteers too. Not only is your contribution invaluable to the continuation of Success4All’s mission, we care about your progression and growth just as much. We want our volunteers to succeed which is why we offer:
- Accreditation: Early in our history, we developed an AQA Skills Level 3 Accreditation in Peer Tutoring and Befriending to partner up with our volunteering experience. The accreditation is split into three parts; an extended training, an ongoing reflection log of each of your sessions and a final 4 slide presentation reflective log of your entire time with us. It has been designed to involved minimal additional work from you, as your volunteering time with the young people is the most important use of your time. Since we started the AQA Skills Award, we have accredited hundreds of volunteers in achieving this award.
- Duke of Edinburgh Award: We are experienced assessors for each award level of the Duke of Edinburgh Award. We understand that finding opportunities to complete your award can be challenging thus any volunteers hours earned can be used for the volunteering, skills and community sections for any DofE Award Level.
- Recognition: An awards validator for vInspired, an online directory of volunteer opportunities across England. It allows you to be recognised for the amount of hours you do – the more hours you commit, the higher the award!
- University Credits: Each year we offer numerous positions as part of the Career Development Module at Newcastle University. This means volunteering with us will carry 20 credits towards your degree, and will give you vital work experience to develop the necessary graduate skills employees want when you leave University.
- Comprehensive Training: Before you start volunteering you Success4All, you will be provided with comprehensive training that will support you as a volunteer tutor-befriender.
- Community: As a volunteer, you will become a member of our community. That means all of us at Success4All will be rooting for your success. If there’s something we can do to support your journey, we will always try our best to do it. We also organise annual social and volunteer events for you to get involved with. Volunteering for a small charity also means, you get to see the direct impact you have and you’ll get to know our team.
