About the Club

Interested in discovering more about coding, programming and technology?

Our code clubs are all about exploring the world of coding and computers, having fun and working together. At Code Club, children and young people learn how to code using lots of different tools and programming languages including Scratch, HTML/CSS and Python.  We will also learn to control and play with LEGO robots, create controllers out of Picoboards and make portable games & gadgets with BBC micro:bits

We encourage our budding coders to explore and experiment with code and technology, learn at their own pace and share their findings with their peers. Discovering what goes on behind your favourite games and websites can be very exciting and we hope to fascinate young people to explore programming skills and understand how technology works. Maybe even preparing the next generations of technological geniuses to take on the digital world!

Code Club is attended by children and young people with a range of ages and abilities, from 8 years old (primary school year 4) to 16 (secondary school year 11).

The sessions are run on various dates and locations around Newcastle and all held after 4pm. All locations are accessible by public transport.
