Iqbal Syed

Education Welfare Officer

Iqbal Syed has been a trustee since 2015. Iqbal is an education welfare officer at Newcastle City Council. His role supports newly arrived refugee and asylum-seeking families. Iqbal has often referred the most in need families to our services and was in the initial parents group who supported setting up S4A. His knowledge of what newly arrived families need, enables Success4All to provide meaningful support to some of Newcastle’s most vulnerable families.

Samantha Roberts

Solicitor

Samantha (Sam) Roberts has been a trustee since 2019. She first started supporting Success4All as a volunteer tutor befriender. Sam loves to travel to new places and to experience new cultures. Her favourite, so far is Japan. Sam is a solicitor, who specialises in charity law. Her expertise has been instrumental in shaping and structuring the board of trustees and key management systems. In her spare time, Sam enjoys taking her new puppy, Luna, on walks and teaching her new tricks.

Pastor John Ameobi

Retired Pastor

Pastor John Ameobi has been a trustee since 2013 but has been a strong supporter of the charity since the beginning. John is a retired pastor of a local church. He splits his time between England and Nigeria. Though retired, he still travels up and down the country to give sermons and counselling courses for families in crisis. His knowledge of vulnerable families in the North East and how to support them through crisis, is essential when planning services.

John Quinn

Finance Director

John has had several Finance Director roles in North-East based companies. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1988, John worked for five years at Ernst and Young before embarking on a career in manufacturing. John has worked for companies in food manufacturing and printing. It was in the print sector where John was part of a team which successfully negotiated a Management Buy Out of the business. After a role as Finance Director in a haulage and recycling business, he is currently working for a leading manufacturing company. In 2018, John became a trustee of SMART Multi-Academy in Newcastle upon Tyne. John is looking forward to apply his experience in business and as a trustee to help to improve the governance and operations of Success4All.
