Joyful Juice Festival!

Users of S4A Learning Hubs can get free tickets for a number of events at the breath taking Juice Festival that is taking over Newcastle and Gateshead this half term! The festival is aimed at young people and families and provides a great opportunity to spend time with family or friends while out of school. The festival is run by Team Juice, a collection of under 25s and will feature the artwork of local youths!




The Vampire Rabbit production is just one great family event on offer. This exciting performance is based on the menacing Vampire Rabbit of Newcastle which has sat upon the old cathedral buildings, haunting passers-by for over 100 years! This spine chilling display promise to leave visitors at the Mining Institute petrified, and the more courageous thrill-seekers can come along to the 8:30 pm showing for an even spookier experience!




The Vampire Rabbit performances take place on Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 October at 2pm and 8:30 pm at the mining institute, with the earlier showing suitable for families and under 12s and the evening show aimed at over 12s.

From 7:30 pm on Friday evening, under 25s are invited to the mind-bending SugarTrip adventure at Northumbria University Students’ Union. The night will start with and extraordinary screening of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory complete with mesmerising special effects, followed by a vibrant and glitzy after party which will include rousing performances from a variety of dancers and musicians.




SugarTrip is aimed at 16-25 year olds and doors will open to the Students’ Union on Sandyford Road at 7pm on Friday 28 October.

Round the festival off on Saturday with the Latin-American themed family celebration taking place on Market Street. Based around the Mexican Day of the Dead holiday, this event guarantees a carnival atmosphere with a range of music, arts and food! What better way to get in to the Halloween spirit!?




This family themed event will take place between 10am and 1pm on Saturday 29 October, and also between 2-5 pm on the same day.
