Last weekend Success4All had the delight of attending the Green Festival in Leazer’s Park after pitching ourselves a free stall (thank you Newcastle Green Festival). We were gifted with a free stall in the information tent. Besides the major down pours on the first day and the mud bath that followed, the festival was a great turn out. We met a lot of lovely people who were very excited by our cause, some teachers and even a couple of lawyers or two!
Rolling with the ‘green’ theme we decided to get the kids exercising their green fingers. They got stuck into potting plants into recycled jam jars for us to sell at the festival. The plants went down a treat, helping us raise £87 of money for us to get all Success4All learning hubs digitally connected!
We were even joined by two of the members of the WEYDA group, who turned out to be champion sellers and were evidently our best sellers!
We also launched our first Quiz at the festival, where those who entered are put into a draw for the chance to win a tablet! We had individuals of all ages working out their sums and racking their brains for the answers.
All in all we had a lovely weekend at the Green festival and will be very keen to attend next year!
