It’s important to keep your children busy and stimulated during the holidays, and with Halloween coming up there are a range of activities around Newcastle to do just that!
Love Blakelaw are putting on a number of Half Term events for just £1 entry; the family Halloween parties (with arts and crafts) are on at a number of locations including Simonside, Fenham and Blakelaw.
If you’re stuck for inspiration, www.netmums.com has a brilliant range of events advertised. Such as this Halloween Spooktacular (at Whitehouse Farm Centre near Morpeth) which is on from the 24th of October until the 1st of November. This Spooktacular includes a daily parade and prizes for the best costumes among other activities.
The Bluereef Aquarium in Tynemouth is always a fun day out, with seal and otter shows to name but a few! Entry is only £33 for a family ticket, which includes all the shows.
The Life Science Centre has a variety of events this half term, whether that’s in the theme of Halloween with the new Motion Ride which takes you through the catacombs of Paris in 4D. Or if spookiness doesn’t excite your children then there is the ‘world space week’ events, for instance ‘Astronauts’ and ‘Hubble at 25’.
The Great North Hancock Museum always offers great, free events. Such as a guest appearance from SpongeBob Squarepants (on the 28th of October), or the live animal handling which takes place on the 30th of October.
