We are approaching the last two weeks until we break up for the Christmas period and we are finishing our first term with a bang!
The Junior Apprentice that has been running all term ends on the 20th December after the children work hard to sell their products over the next couple of weeks. The items the children have designed and created themselves include iPhone cases, clay models, bracelets and Keep Calm its Christmas t-shirts which they are selling in various locations across the two weeks.
The sales started today at both Walker Technology College and Excelsior Academy’s Christmas fayre. Junior Apprentice stalls will be set up at Newcastle City Learning Centre and Blakelaw library the week beginning 9th December for a week, before moving to the Parent Consultations running every day during the last week of term.
The Parent Consultations will run at every learning hub giving the parents a chance to receive feedback on their children’s learning. All children that attend are given a Learning Passport which records their attendance and their improvement. Junior Apprentice stalls will be set up to give parents the chance to support S4A with buying new facilities for the hubs to support their child’s learning. We are also offering advice on how to keep warm for cheap this winter while enjoying festive food!
The Parent Consultations are a great way for parents to get to know Success4All staff, volunteers and other parents. They will also be able to discuss any issues or ask any questions they may have that they cannot ask schools.
We are looking forward to gathering together as a community, and with that Christmas feeling too!
