Over in Ponteland FAB for Kids ran a half term holiday club for children during their February break, the club lasted for three days, from Monday 20th until Wednesday the 22nd of February and was held at Ponteland Community Middle School.
The club, aimed at children over eight years old, offered a wide range of activities, including sports, coding, arts and crafts, drama and even cooking!
The activities on offer were run by a number of helpers, including a futsal coach, Kelly Coleby cookery and Christine Eblett who helped with the arts and crafts. The coding activities were provided by Success4All, who sent Mike over equipped with Lego robots and pico boards for everyone to use.
The children had a fantastic time at the club, with many wishing it could have lasted for the whole half-term! The leaders were also impressed with the kids’ enthusiasm and great behaviour – so it was a good experience for everybody!
FAB look forward to seeing everyone again at the Easter holiday club!
